Matt Barlow works between still life, food photography, stop frame animation & film.
He is very experienced & hard working with a keen eye for detail. He also can retouch & edit and has recently produced a series of beautifully shot & edited short films.… Matt is happy working in exotic locations or in studios and brings to all scenarios a sense of calm.
Born in Stoke on Trent, he spent 3 years down the mines digging coal before deciding to follow his passion to study Photography at Blackpool College.
The rest, as they say, is history…
Matt has an ever expanding list of clients.
Some of his most recent collaborations include Boots, Vodafone, Waitrose, Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Warburton’s, Oreo and Belvita.
He has won countless awards both for commercial work and personal projects and has had his work exhibited in many galleries all over the world (AOP, The International Polaroid Awards, The Los Angeles Centre for Digital Arts, The Society for Contemporary Photography of Kansas City and Dublin’s Mad Gallery, among others).
Matt has travelled to Mexico several times on commissions, a place he now calls his spiritual home, and as a result he has committed to growing a moustache to rival any Mariachi bands he may meet along the way!
